About

I am an artist/illustrator/designer/animator/programmer and general all around creative person, and this is my internet home. I’ll be keeping you up to date with all the new projects I’m working on no matter where they fall in the spectrum of creative endeavors, so check back soon and often! You can also take a look at a portfolio of older work.

Most of my artistic endeavors spawn from an interest in human behavior, our relationship with our tools, evolutionary processes, and post-human future realities. All tools re-contextualize the human condition as extensions of our own abilities; through their use the tool changes what we are capable of and thus transforms us. In a world where this reflexive transformation is happening at an ever increasing speed, we are being plummeting toward a post-human reality, and our traditional concepts of identity are being clouded at an alarming pace. My work attempts to illustrate a concept of self in a possible future world where identity is as malleable as clay.

This work has manifested itself in a broad range of mediums. This is done first to satisfy my own creative impulses, and second as reflection on the transformative properties of accessible information. The amalgamation of skills I have been cultivated stem from my own deep interests in traditional image making for its narrative quality, specifically in painting, illustration, and comics, as well as fascination with science and information, which has birthed a more ‘new media’ body of work where computer code, performance, installation, and conversations with audiences is central. These two facets of creativity continually revolve around the same central themes, satisfy very different approaches to creating work, and I feel capture some of the essence of the identity shift our society will be facing in the very near future.
